General information about the service

1.	What does STAHLkompakt's premium service offer? With our STAHLkompakt steel price index, we offer you current and historical price developments for over 100 individual materials with a total of over 600 price charts. This service is unique in Germany. In addition, you will find a wealth of further information on the subject of steel (surcharges, LME values, etc.) in our premium area.

2.	Who is STAHLkompakt's premium service created for? Our premium service is primarily tailored to steel buyers, but also to purchasing consultants, steel traders, etc. Anyone who requires sound market and price information can benefit from STAHLkompakt.

3.	What specific added value are STAHLkompakt’s price indices offering you? Steel price indices provide you with benchmark values that you can use to compare your current prices with market prices and critically examine suppliers' calculations if necessary. This allows you to fend off price increases based on alleged steel price increases, for example. The steel price indices can also serve as a basis for agreeing on escalation clauses with steel suppliers. Steel buyers can immediately recognise actual price fluctuations and, if necessary, correct price increases in a timely manner. Our steel price indices can therefore be a valuable price control tool for every buyer.

Price indices & data sources

1.	What is the data basis for the STAHLkompakt price indices? Our monthly assessments are primarily based on three pillars: a. General economic data and current market developments in steel-consuming and steel-producing sectors b. Price data from steelworks and from our projects (mainly from German-speaking countries) c. Expert assessments

2.	How often is the STAHLkompakt price data updated? Our price data is updated monthly, usually within the first three working days of each month.

Registration & Terms of Use

1.	How many employees can use the premium service? Use of the premium service is limited to a maximum of 10 users within your company. Users from subsidiaries or other companies affiliated with the client registered with us are excluded.

2.	Which languages are available? Our premium service is currently available in English and German. Additional services offered by STAHLkompakt with a predominantly regional focus (seminars, consulting, market reports, dealer database) are only available in German and in the D/A/CH region.

3.	How can I register? Registration is only possible online via our registration form.

4.	How quickly will I get access after registering? Once you have registered, we will first check the validity of your data. You will then be activated for our premium service, usually within 24 hours on working days.

Prices & Subscription

1.	What subscription models are available? You can choose between a monthly subscription (EUR 89.00/month) or an annual subscription (EUR 750.00/year, saving you approx. 30%) for our premium service.

2.	What are the cancellation periods for the premium service? The monthly subscription can be cancelled at any time with two weeks' notice to the end of a calendar month, and the annual subscription with one month's notice to the end of a contract year.

3.	How does billing and payment work? In the case of a monthly subscription, our premium service is usually billed in the middle of a quarter for a three-month period. The fees for an annual subscription are billed within two weeks of the customer registering and being activated for the premium area, and subsequently at the beginning of each subsequent year. In all cases, the respective invoice amount is due for payment within 21 days of the invoice date. Payment is only possible by bank transfer. Direct debit or payment by credit card, PayPal, etc. is not possible with us.

4.	Is there a trial period or demo version? No, we do not offer a trial period or demo version. We have taken into account the fact that some people may want to get an idea of our premium service first by offering a very short cancellation period for monthly subscriptions. In the drop-down menus for steel grades and indices you can also see which data we offer for which steel grades in detail, even if you are not yet a premium user.
